Forever a Saranac Chief is here to stay.
The Saranac High School mascot, originally the Chiefs, was established in the 1950s. Specifically, the mascot idea was conceived by Ray Fadden, with the logo being painted by his son, John, the school's art teacher. The school's first high school building was constructed in 1952. The Chiefs logo honors our Native American teachers and area tribes. We are forever the Chiefs to this day. NOTICE: We are not sure if this was Mr. Fadden's actual painting. All proceeds are intended to fund our class reunions and alumni events for all years.
